About JMUK

Jabber Me UK is a UK-hosted public Jabber server that’s been in operation since 2006.

It currently runs eJabberd 2.1.1, there are transports available for the MSN and ICQ Instant Messaging networks as well as Internet Relay Chat (IRC) networks .

Multi-user chat rooms are available at conference.jabber.me.uk.

Only clients supporting in-band registration will allow you to register an account on the server, this feature is widely available on all good Jabber and multi-protocol IM clients. I recommend Gajim.
